Sprouts Farmers Market is a leading U.S. specialty grocery retailer focused on fresh, natural, and organic foods, operating 477 stores across 24 states while continuing to expand its national footprint. Its smaller, highly productive store format, strong produce offering, localized sourcing network, and loyal customer base have enabled Sprouts to generate industry-leading customer satisfaction metrics and consistently strong returns on capital. Management has also modernized the business through digital marketing, loyalty initiatives, and supply chain investments that improve freshness, efficiency, and margins.

Despite rapid expansion from 253 stores in 2016 to 477 stores in 2025, the company still sees substantial whitespace across the Midwest and Northeast, with more than 140 approved stores supporting long-term unit growth. Financially, Sprouts has delivered consistent revenue growth, EBITDA margins at record highs, free cash flow conversion of roughly 65% of EBITDA, and a balance sheet that has shifted from net debt to a net cash position.

Excess cash generation has been aggressively deployed toward share repurchases, reducing diluted shares by 34% over the past decade. Despite these strong fundamentals, Sprouts trades at a meaningful discount to larger grocery peers, creating an attractive opportunity as continued execution, expansion, and margin improvement could drive significant long-term upside for shareholders.
