Is Enbridge (ENB) A Good Stock To Buy?

ClearBridge Investments, an investment management firm, published its “Global Infrastructure Income Strategy” first quarter 2021 investor letter – a copy of which can be downloaded here. On a relative basis, measured against the S&P Global Infrastructure Index, the ClearBridge Global Infrastructure Income Strategy underperformed during the first quarter. In the Q1 2021 Investor Letter, the fund highlighted a few stocks and Enbridge Inc (NYSE:ENB) is one of them. Enbridge Inc (NYSE:ENB) is a natural gas transmission company. In the last three months, Enbridge Inc (NYSE:ENB) stock gained 11%. Here is what the fund said:

“Enbridge owns and operates one of the largest oil and gas pipeline networks in North America. The company also owns regulated gas distribution utilities in Ontario, Canada. The first quarter saw the market giving the energy sector credit for its leverage to the eventual economic recovery as COVID-19 vaccines get rolled out through 2021.”
