So, let’s review which hedge funds were among the top holders of the stock and which hedge funds were making big moves.

More specifically, Pzena Investment Management was the largest shareholder of Wabtec Corporation (NYSE:WAB), with a stake worth $323.1 million reported as of the end of September. Trailing Pzena Investment Management was Farallon Capital, which amassed a stake valued at $304.3 million. Seeing as Wabtec Corporation (NYSE:WAB) has faced falling interest from the entirety of the hedge funds we track, it’s easy to see that there were a few fund managers who were dropping their positions entirely by the end of the third quarter. At the top of the heap, Bob Peck and Andy Raab’s FPR Partners cut the biggest position of all the hedgies monitored by Insider Monkey, totaling an estimated $170.2 million in stock, and Jorge Paulo Lemann’s 3G Capital was right behind this move, as the fund dropped about $95.1 million worth. These bearish behaviors are intriguing to say the least, as total hedge fund interest stayed the same (this is a bearish signal in our experience).
