Hedge Funds Are Crazy Bullish On GATX Corporation (GMT)

GATX Corporation (NYSE:GMT) was in 12 hedge funds’ portfolio at the end of December. GMT shareholders have witnessed an increase in hedge fund sentiment in recent months. There were 7 hedge funds in our database with GMT holdings at the end of the previous quarter.

With these “truths” under our belt, it’s important to take a peek at the recent action encompassing GATX Corporation (NYSE:GMT).

Ascend Capital had 5.3 million invested in the company at the end of the quarter. Israel Englander’s Millennium Management also made a $1.6 million investment in the stock during the quarter. The other funds with brand new GMT positions are John Overdeck and David Siegel’s Two Sigma Advisors, David Costen Haley’s HBK Investments, and Ken Gray and Steve Walsh’s Bryn Mawr Capital.
