Matthew Sidman‘s Three Bays Capital has surged its position in Cypress Semiconductor Corporation (NASDAQ:CY) by over 40% since the beginning of the year, to 22.46 million shares according to a new 13D filing. Three Bays, which had surged its stake by over 80% to 18.49 million shares back in June, ended up cutting it by 27% in the fourth quarter, to 15.86 million shares. With shares having fallen by 14% this year and the semiconductor industry poised for a rebound in the second half of 2016, it appears that Mr. Sidman has become more bullish on the stock than ever. Billionaire George Soros is also a major investor in Cypress Semiconductor.
