Billionaires Steven Cohen and Stephen Mandel Disclose Huge Stakes in Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (LL)

In a couple of new filings with the SEC, Stephen Mandel‘s Lone Pine Capital, and SAC Capital Advisors, managed by Steven Cohen, disclosed holding significant positions in Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE:LL). Lone Pine has initiated its position in the company and currently holds 2.19 million shares, equal to 7.9% of the stock. SAC Capital reported boosting its stake to  1.39 million shares, which represent  5.0% of the common stock, from 60,144 shares owned by the fund previously.

Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE:LL) sells hardwood flooring at “liquidator” prices.

Daruma Asset Management, led by Mariko Gordon, is another fund that we track, is the largest shareholder of Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE:LL). The fund held 445,621 shares, with a reported value of $47.53 million at the end of the third quarter.

A couple of months ago, Robert Lynch, a director at Lumber Liquidators Holdings Inc (NYSE:LL), added 4,647 shares to his holding and currently owns 34,500 shares of the company. At the same time, another director, John Presley, trimmed his stake by 26,385 shares and currently holds 22,491 shares.

Last month, SAC Capital, added 1.25 million shares of Textura Corp (NYSE:TXTR), the stake amasses 5.0% of the company’s common stock. Also, recently the fund along with its its affiliates has upped its stake in PDC Energy Inc (NASDAQ:PDCE) to around 1.81 million shares of the company, from 21,500 shares held earlier.

Lone Pine Capital added SBA Communications Corporation (NASDAQ:SBAC) to its equity portfolio a couple of weeks ago, and revealed owning 8.20 million class A shares. The stake amasses 6.4% of the class A common stock of SBA Communications. In addition, the fund revealed that it has upped its holding in Wyndham Worldwide Corporation (NYSE:WYN) to 6.77 million shares from 5.71 million shares held earlier. The current holding represents 5.2% of  the common stock of Wyndham Worldwide.
