Best business movies: In the midst of romantic comedies, action-packed blockbusters, and heart-wrenching dramas, we don’t get to see too many business movies that sustain success on a regular basis. However, despite this observation, it’s clear that a select few business movies have made cinematic history.

In a style similar to our list of movies better than books, let’s take a look at the “best” business movies of past 100 years. Ranking movies is often a subjective endeavor, but we have a feeling that you will at least partially agree with our countdown.

All ten movies in our countdown were produced in the last century, the oldest one dating from 1936. Apparently it is true that they don’t make movies like they used to. And even though these movies have not scored the highest popularity scores as those featured in our list of The 15 Highest-Grossing Movies Ever, they still are worth watching and including in your home movies collections.

As follows, Charlie Chaplin made the countdown with the movie he directed, produced, wrote, and starred in – Modern Times. We already knew that there was much more to Mr. Chaplin than entertainment and comedy acts, and this movie shows yet another of the actor’s many layers.

Al Pacino deserves a mention, as he starred in four out of the ten movies listed in our countdown. His name will probably be forever associated with the role of the gangster, but Pacino definitely managed to marvelously portray the dark side of business. Two of the Godfather movies, which represent one of the most memorable trilogies in cinematic history, made the countdown.
