With the latest news about hacker attacks, companies have begun to sense the need of increasing private data protection. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) made the brilliant move first and Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) almost immediately followed through to be the second best. Unfortunately, the Government has a different opinion on this as it claims that encryption of mobile devices will serve as a hideout for criminals’ secret information, according to Wired. The arguments brought up so far were easily refuted and it’s plainly obvious why the tech giants upgraded their armor.
As of current technological development, there is no better form of assuring that nobody will be capable of hacking any of your accounts than encryption. Any form of communication on the web is hidden from unwanted ears and eyes mostly through the fact that even if somebody intercepted encrypted data, he or she could not discover what the initial content was. It was actually a calculated move from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s part, because it can be sensed that the Government can’t motivate why not encrypting personal information stored in the phone’s memory that is not accessible through an app and it’s not backed up on the iCloud. Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) sensed pressure from the announcement and immediately followed through as many customers will be particularly incentivized to purchase an almost perfectly secure device.
Now, what Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) did with its latest upgrades is just make the information on the device unhackable to assure that the card number along with personal videos, music, and photos, which are stored exclusively on the device, will not get exposed. However, information stored on the iCloud will be available to law enforcement entities through a warrant. Furthermore, as the mobile carriers ensure the safety of the calls, these companies will be responsible for the disclosure of calls made to the police. So, neither Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) nor Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOGL) are actually hiding any form of incriminating data, rather they are ensuring that their customers receive the best form of protection to their most valuable information.
