Of course, this doesn’t mean that the Cupertino-based company is able to build just any device and have success with it. For this reason, Apple is extremely selective as to which products hit the market. On top of this, new designs and devices are kept top secret for as long as possible.

It is possible that the first Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) watch could make its way to the public at some point in the near future. Perhaps it would be called the iWatch?

Of course, Apple is not going to manufacture just any old watch. Instead, you can be rest assured that it would stand out in the crowd.

There are rumors swirling that a new watch made of curved glass could be in the experimental phase.

“In its headquarters in Cupertino, Calif., Apple is experimenting with wristwatch-like devices made of curved glass, according to people familiar with the company’s explorations, who spoke on the condition that they not be named because they are not allowed to publicly discuss unreleased products. Such a watch would operate on Apple’s iOS platform, two people said, and stand apart from competitors based on the company’s understanding of how such glass can curve around the human body.”

As you can see, this is more than just another rumor. It appears that people from inside Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s walls are sharing the information about the potential for a state of the art watch.
