Another BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY) Win? It’s Possible

BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has been on a roll as of late. This has nothing to do with smartphone market share, but everything to do with the steps the company is taking to once again reach stability in an industry it previously dominated.

As we discussed earlier this week, AT&T will begin selling the Passport and Classic online and in retail stores starting today. This alone was big news for the company, but it is just the start.

This time around there is some excitement surrounding all BlackBerry 10 devices. The company recently published a blog post entitled “Prepare to be Wowed by BlackBerry OS 10.3.1 on ALL BlackBerry 10 Devices.”

This is a big move for the company, as it will give more users the ability to take advantage of the most updated operating system. Here is an excerpt from the blog post:

“For those who were envious of the BlackBerry Passport’s debut with OS 10.3 and the subsequent BlackBerry Classic launch, the wait is over, as the following devices will join the BlackBerry Classic in delivering the goods with version 10.3.1.”

The piece goes on to list out the devices with the latest operating system, noting the following: Q5, Q10, Z10, Z30, Z3, BlackBerry Porsche Design P’9983, and of course, the Passport.

What does BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) have in Store?

There is a lot to like about OS 10.3.1, including but not limited to: access to a larger number of apps, more speed with additional keyboard shortcuts, and a class leading mobile productivity tool set.

How do I get it?

At this point, you may be asking the same question as many others. How do I get BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) OS 10.3.1? The answer is pretty simple, as explained by the company:

“Customers will receive a notification in the BlackBerry Hub when the software is ready for download. If they have enabled automatic software downloads, they will be notified in the BlackBerry Hub that the software is downloading.”

It is good to see that BlackBerry is not giving up in the smartphone space. It continues to push new devices to the market, while also ensuring that its software is up to par as well. This is all proof that BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) has no intentions of going “quietly into the night.”

Disclosure: none.
