7. Afi Mountain Wildlife Sanctuary

Avid bird watcher and animals lovers, please join. This sanctuary hosts some of the more endangered creatures that are at risk of being poached. The Nigerian chimpanzee and Cross River Gorilla are two animals that are now safe from those who wish to take their lives. This is also the largest swallow migratory route in which you can see with our own two eyes.

6. Enugu

This place holds some unbelievable natural attractions. Cascading falls at Awhum Waterfalls, fresh springs, intrepid caves to wander through, and rolling hills all make for a gorgeous view. Archaeological collections and art galleries of interest are also scattered about and are worth a look for further insight.

Here’s is the country’s largest national park covering over 6,000 sq km. Its location is perfect for a diverse set of flora and fauna as it’s on the border of the wet Cameroonian Highlands and the dusty and dry Sub-Saharan Guinea Savannah. Wild hog, hyena, baboon, antelope, elephants, and even lions roam this impressive park.

4. Osun- Osogbo Sacred Grove

There are shrines and sanctuaries sprinkled around this gorgeous  high forested area of the country. Welcome to one of the religious hubs of the country. The palaces and sacred places are open to wander around. These places are very special to the Yoruba people as this grove is the last symbol left of their culture.

Get your shoes on and get ready to walk up over 600 steps to see the view of a lifetime. It’s no fantasy, it’s Idanre. Besides getting a glimpse at the incredible wildlife, like West Africa’s largest herd of elephants, you will have opportunities to check out some caves, see some archaeological preserves, and swim in a crystal clear spring pool
