5 Largest Wind Energy Companies in the World

3. GE Renewable Energy (NYSE:GE)

Total capacity of the pipeline in 2019 (in MW): 80,541.14

GE Renewable Energy is a subsidiary of one of the biggest companies in the world in General Electric, but is headquartered in Paris, France. It is a sector of the company focusing on of course renewable energy which includes wind energy. While focused on solar, wind and hydroelectric power generation, we are focusing on the wind subdivision which includes both onshore and offshore facilities. It has revenue of more than $10 billion, even though it has been operating at a loss of a few hundred million dollars at least over the past year. The company may need to engage in cost cutting and greater efficiency if not raising prices to turn a loss making business into a profitable one.
