Salesforce provides  customer relationship management services and applications on customer service, marketing automation and analytics. Services include categories like Commerce Cloud, Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Data Cloud  (including Jigsaw)  and IoT.

Cloud Revenue – $35,026  million 

The subsidiary of Amazon Inc, provides on-demand cloud platform services. According to a report by Canalys, AWS is the biggest player, commanding 31% of the market share of cloud service providers.  12.1% of Amazon’s revenue for Q2 was made up of AWS sales and 64% of its profits were attributable to it.

Cloud Revenue – $51,700  million 

Azure has a 47% revenue growth rate in the previous quarter as reported by Microsoft. Canalys reported it has a 20% market share in the segment. However, Microsoft does not report Azure’s revenue in its reports, but reports the overall revenue of its Intelligent Cloud business division which includes Azure. This practice makes it difficult to gauge how Azure is actually doing as compared to AWS as direct competitors. However, there are areas where Microsoft operates with Office 365 where AWS does not, and that makes us think Microsoft is currently the biggest cloud computing company in the world
