Distribution: India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Taiwan, Vietnam, Arabian Sea, Persian Gulf

Its main habitats are the coast and coastal islands of India. This  snake is one of the most common 20 snakes in India. They are active almost all the time during the day, and can survive under water for five hours, and dive even up to 100 meters under the surface of water. They are extremely aggressive.
