Headquartered in Manasquan, New Jersey, Jersey Mike’s Subs is a submarine sandwich chain. It has about 1,742 franchises across the United States as well as in Queensland, Australia and Canada. The CEO Peter Cancro began the company’s journey when he was a mere 14 year old. He bought the shop in 1975 where he worked part time with the help of a teacher. He began franchising the restaurant in 1987 and the company expanded to 750 locations by 2014. The initial fee for a franchise is $18,500.
