1. Lake Baikal

It’s said that if we empy the 23.000 km³ of water from lake Baikal (Russia) in Earth, we could cover the planet with two centimeters of freshwater. This is possible because it contains the 20% of the fresh water on the surface of the Earth. The largest lake in the world by volume (and also the deepest) is actually a rift where the crust is being separate.
