10. Intimidator 305

At a massive height of 305 ft, the Intimidator 305 is definitely intimidating. Part of the Kings Dominion Park in Doswell, Virginia, USA, the gigantic machine is the third non-launched roller coaster to be more than 300 ft, with Millennium Force and the Steel Dragon 2000 being the first two. 9. Leviathan

Another entry by Canada’s Wonderland, the Leviathan stands at a height of 306 ft. The ride opened its doors on May 06, 2012. It is noted to be the tallest roller coaster to use a single lift chain. Like its namesake, the Leviathan is gigantic.

8. Millennium force

Gracing the Cedar Point Park, Ohio is Number 8 on our list. With a height of 310 ft, Millennium Force is the first non-launched roller coaster to cross more than 300 ft. It was the park’s fourteenth roller coaster.

7. Steel Dragon 2000

Coming in on number seven is the Steel Dragon 2000 which has already been mentioned a few times throughout the article. This contraption is located in the Nagashima Spa Land theme park of Mie Prefecture Japan. It has a height of 318 ft. Fun Fact, it opened in 2000 which is also noted as being the year of the dragon is Asia.

6. Fury 325

Adorning the Carowinds park in South Carolina is the Fury 325. It has a height of 325 ft and is the longest steel roller coaster in North America with 6,602 ft.

5. Red Force

In top five we have the Red Force of Port Aventura Park, Spain. This massive machine has a height of 368 ft.

4. Tower of Terror II

At 377 ft, the Tower of Terror II is Australia’s biggest Rollercoaster. Located at Dreamland in Queensland, it was the seventh fastest in the world. Sadly, it closed down on 3rd November of last year.

3. Superman: Escape from Krypton

We start the top three with a massive height of 415 ft offered by Superman: Escape from Krypton at Six Flags Magic Mountain  in Valencia, California, USA. It propels its cars to a speed of 104 mph.

2. Top Thrill Dragster

The runner up for our list is the Top Thrill Dragster at 429 ft. The tallest roller coaster at Cedar Point in Ohio, the machine opened to the public on 3 may, 2003.

1. Kingda Ka

Easily topping our list of the 25 tallest rollercoasters in the world is Kingda Ka. With a monstrous height of 456 ft, the sit-down roller coaster is located at Six Flags Great Adventure in Jackson, New Jersey, USA. It is the tallest and the second fastest roller coaster in the world, stealing the crown from Top Thrill Dragster of Cedar Point. The ride was inaugurated in late 2005.
