Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM)‘s stock had its “buy” rating restated by analysts at Deutsche Bank AG (USA) (NYSE:DB) in a research report issued to clients and investors on Thursday, AnalystRatingsNetwork reports. They currently have a $35.00 price target on the stock, down from their previous price target of $36.00. Deutsche Bank’s price objective suggests a potential upside of 35.03% from the stock’s previous close.

Intel ships overhauled low-power chips for data centers (Yahoo)
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) has started shipping data-center chips that are based on a major overhaul of its low-power Atom line, in a bid to defend its territory from an incursion by British rival ARM Holdings plc (ADR) (NASDAQ:ARMH). The Santa Clara, California, company said on Wednesday the new Atom chips, which are meant for microservers, networking equipment and storage at major cloud-computing providers, perform six times better than previous versions.

Broadcom to Buy LTE Assets From Renesas Affiliates (DailyFinance)
Semiconductor distributor Broadcom Corporation (NASDAQ:BRCM) on Wednesday announced plans to acquire the LTE-related assets of affiliates of Japanese semiconductor manufacturer Renesas Electronics Corp. LTE stands for long-term evolution, a standard form of high-speed wireless communication for mobile devices. The assets will help Broadcom speed up the launch of its next generation of products in 2014.
