BlackBerry Ltd (BBRY)’s Very Conservative Look Hides New High-Tech Features

John S. Chen did not succumb to despair and anxiety when he took control of BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) and its economical upheavals. The tech-dwarf of almost $5.6 billion market capitalization is all that’s left of the once leader in smartphone manufacturing. Confronted with mixed feelings coming from customers’ reaction to the new Passport, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) decided to bring back the physical keyboard that made the company famous and add a touch of high tech directly in the software, according to FOX.

Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)

The Classic model, also known as Q20, will have all the features inherited from the Q10 released in 2013 including the trackpad and navigation keys. There’s also a 3.5 inch touch-screen to maintain the sense of innovation, although the device’s features allow a full experience without the need of leaving fingerprints on the screen. As BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is mostly known for its business-style approach to telephony and messaging, there will be some very practical improvements to the messaging. BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) tested the acceptance of the upgrades and reported that users were delighted.

Messages can be deleted even after sending them, at the expense of a single tap. This feature comes in very handy when we need to edit the content without having to duplicate everything and it will also limit the errors coming out of the fact that some information reaches the wrong recipient by means of accident. Also, BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) got inspired by Snapchat to produce timed-messages that will disappear after a number of seconds that you set for it to be available on the receiver’s phone. It even went as far as informing the sender via BBM whether there has been taken a screenshot of the timed-information.  BlackBerry Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) will also offer a quick sticker picker for the BBM for free usage the first three months, afterwards it will seek to monetize its effort. There haven’t been disclosed any prices or dates for releases.
