Ever wonder what the top paid apps for iPhone 5 are? As you know, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) released its iPhone in 2007 and currently the company is preparing the seventh generation of the one of the most popular smartphones in the world. Aside from an innovative design, great hardware and many other cool features, users have one more reason to love their phones: the big range of applications, suitable for almost every need. With currently over 850,000 apps, an iPhone user, can definitely find for his taste (by comparison, when Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) opened the app store in 2008 there were only about 500 apps).

A couple of months back, we discussed 15 of the best-selling Apple apps. At that time, the company was coming close to 50 billion unique downloads from its app store. In May, the 50 billion-downloads milestone was reached, and traditionally, the company has released a list of its top 25 most-downloaded apps. It’s worth mentioning that among top 25 iPhone paid apps, most of them were games, and only one was an app for social networking. On the other hand, on the segment of free apps, most top positions are held by applications.

The impressive number of 50 billion downloads was reached only a few months after the company announcing reaching the 40 billion downloads milestone in January. Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) said that about half of those downloads were completed in 2012. Taking into account that it only took four months to extend to the next milepost, we can only assume that soon the company will be marking the next one.

At the same time, if we compare the top paid apps downloaded from Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)’s app store, we can notice that many apps are in the list for a long time, and only a few of the newly developed applications go in the top. This can be explained by longer presence of old apps in the store, but also by the new trend of developers to release free versions of applications with limited features and allow the possibility of many in-app purchases.

Two months ago, the top positions among the app world were held by highlights like: “Doodle Jump,” “Fruit Ninja,” “WhatsApp” or the legendary “Angry Birds,” which can be found probably in almost every iPhone, we would like to take a look at some of the current best top paid applications available for Apple Inc.
