Psychology, pathology, and surgery would be greatly poorer if there were no doctors from Germany that provided great contributions to these medical disciplines. For example, Erik Erikson, who developed the concept of “identity crisis”, was a German born physician. Other notable German doctors are Paracelsus, Rudolf Virchow, and Hans Eysenck.
