10 Best Stocks to Buy After Democrats’ Midterm Election Victory

8. Enphase Energy, Inc. (NASDAQ: ENPH)

Market Capitalization as of November 4: $4.17 Billion

Barclays analysts led by Peter Crampton said the Democratic sweep of Congress could strengthen protections for renewable-energy incentives and improve policy certainty for solar and battery-storage investments, according to a November 4 report.

Enphase Energy was among the companies highlighted in the report as solar stocks rallied following the election, although Barclays’ assessment was directed at the sector rather than an individual recommendation on Enphase. Reuters had also identified Enphase as a potential beneficiary of a Democratic victory in its November 2 election preview. The company manufactures microinverters, batteries and other residential solar technologies that could benefit from policies encouraging rooftop solar adoption.

However, Morgan Stanley earlier in October flagged near-term residential solar risks and concerns about the company’s growth outlook. The brokerage warned that elevated financing costs continued to weigh on the residential solar industry’s recovery, highlighting risks that could persist despite a more supportive political environment. Enphase has also won 80 utility approvals, and easier installation could help its battery sales. Tap to see the details

7. Oscar Health, Inc. (NYSE: OSCR)

Market Capitalization as of November 4: $10.85 Billion

Jefferies identified Oscar Health as one of the health insurers that could benefit from Democratic gains in the 2026 midterm elections, according to a Bloomberg report published on October 30. The brokerage said Oscar Health and Centene could attract investor interest on expectations that Democrats would negotiate to restore enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies that expired at the end of 2025. Restoring those subsidies could make health insurance more affordable for consumers and support enrollment in Affordable Care Act marketplace plans, where Oscar operates.

Following Democrats’ victory in both chambers of Congress, Jefferies analysts also noted that President Donald Trump’s willingness to work with lawmakers could create opportunities for Democratic healthcare priorities to advance, according to Reuters on November 4. However, Jefferies previously considered the restoration of the ACA subsidies unlikely, and significant policy changes remain dependent on negotiations with the Trump administration. Oscar Health shares fell after the company reported second-quarter results, even though it raised its full-year profit outlook. Click to read why

6. Molina Healthcare, Inc. (NYSE: MOH)

Market Capitalization as of November 4: $11.79 Billion

JPMorgan included Molina Healthcare among its stocks positioned to benefit from a Democratic sweep of Congress. The bank identified Medicaid-focused managed care organizations as potential beneficiaries if Democratic lawmakers negotiate delays or changes to healthcare funding cuts included in President Donald Trump’s tax and spending legislation.

Following the election, Bernstein analyst Lance Wilkes also named Molina among the insurers most directly positioned to benefit from the Democratic victory. Wilkes expected the election outcome to increase the possibility of negotiations over Medicaid spending reductions and enhanced Affordable Care Act subsidies, potentially supporting insurance enrollment.

Molina, which provides government-sponsored health coverage through Medicaid and Medicare programs, could benefit from measures that preserve Medicaid funding and enrollment.

Diamond Hill Capital said in its second-quarter 2026 letter that it sees long-term value in Molina after the recent pressure on the stock. Click to read the letter
