Based in London, AKO Capital stands out as one of Europe's premier investment partnerships. The firm is founded in 2005 by Nicolai Tangen, a Norwegian hedge fund manager and the founder of AKO Capital, initially underwent training in interrogation and translation within the Norwegian Intelligence Service. Subsequently, he pursued his undergraduate studies at the Norwegian School of Economics and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1992. Tangen holds master's degrees in art history from the Courtauld Institute of Art, London, and in social psychology from the London School of Economics. In addition to his financial pursuits, he has also received education as a cook.

AKO Capital oversees approximately US$21 billion across long-only and long-short equity funds. While initially focusing on European equities, AKO Capital expanded its scope in 2013 to include funds dedicated to Global equities.
