The firm is founded in 2005 by Nicolai Tangen, a Norwegian hedge fund manager and the founder of AKO Capital, initially underwent training in interrogation and translation within the Norwegian Intelligence Service. Subsequently, he pursued his undergraduate studies at the Norwegian School of Economics and the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania from 1988 to 1992.
