So as to ensure that his employees would better understand why quality products were important, he asked them to gather over 150,000 fax machines and phones into a pile, after which he proceeded to destroy them. The idea behind this exhibit was to make the 2,000 employees that were watching to understand that the old era of Samsung had set and a new one, which focused on quality, was about to begin.
