Good Eggs was one of the nominees for the title of Best E-commerce Application and while it did not exactly make the cut, this startup did catch the attention of investors, as it recently raised $8.5 million in its Series A funding. Good Eggs is an e-commerce that focuses on food products. They connect users to food makers or farmers and they even arrange deliveries. The first fully operating marketplace was set up in San Francisco, but the company has big plans for the future, intending to open several other marketplaces in cities across the US. In the near future, New Orleans and Los Angeles should expect their very own Good Eggs marketplace.
