Southern port towns are quite infamous for their ghost stories, but New Orleans is definitely one of the most haunted. Haunted graveyards, mansions, taverns, you name it; New Orleans has them all. However, amidst them all, there is one mansion that stands out: the LaLaurie house. Located in the French quarter, this mansion once belonged to a 19^th century physician and his wife. Rumor has it that the couple engaged in horrific activities, primarily directed at their slaves and ghost sightings are reported on occasion.
