St. Denis J. Villere & Company Ups EPIQ Systems Stake to 15.1%

St. Denis J. Villere & Company, EPIQ Systems: A few minutes ago, the New Orleans-based St. Denis J. Villere disclosed a 15.1% position in EPIQ Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ:EPIQ), a IT services company. This is an increase of about 350,000 shares since its last 13F filing, and the position’s size is easily larger than the more widely known bulls in this name, like David Dreman or Glenn Russell Dubin.

Last month, Epiq Systems declared a cash dividend that has been approved by its board of directors. Shareholders should receive $0.09 per share starting December 9, 2013. In 2012, the Board approved a share repurchase program worth $35 million, until December 31, 2013. By June, around $31.7 million remained outstanding under the buyback program. The operating revenue of Epiq increased by 64% on the year, to $70.1 million in the second quarter of 2013.

Mark Travis’s Intrepid Capital Management disclosed ownership of some 2.2 million shares of Epiq Systems, followed by Claus Moller’s P2 Capital Partners and David Dreman’s Dreman Value Management, which hold around 1.63 million shares and 256,500 shares respectively.
