Liberty Global Ltd. (NASDAQ:LBTYK) is one of the best Seth Klarman portfolio stocks to buy. On June 25, egg Power, the clean energy infrastructure business owned by Liberty Global Ltd. (NASDAQ:LBTYK), signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Amazon to supply 90 megawatts of wind energy from the Chirmorie Wind Farm in South Ayrshire, Scotland. This agreement marks the largest onshore wind PPA ever signed in the UK.

This is egg Power’s second long-term supply agreement of the year, following an earlier deal in which Virgin Media O2 agreed to take power from the Grange solar farm in Suffolk.

Liberty stated that egg Power intends to deliver more than 1,500 megawatts of clean energy capacity under long-term contracts by 2028. It added that beyond Chirmorie and Grange, egg Power has also secured rights to two other UK solar projects, Rainsbrook and Rag Lane.

Earlier in the year, on January 16, egg Power secured a £400m non-recourse debt financing facility with NatWest. Liberty stated that the funding would go towards the 250 megawatts of solar and wind farms under construction or development. In total, the funds would support up to 500 megawatts of projects in the UK and Europe. This is part of the ambition to deliver over 1,500 megawatts of clean energy capacity mentioned earlier.

For Amazon, the Chirmorie deal marks its 50th carbon-free energy project in the UK. This is a milestone that keeps the company as the country’s largest corporate purchaser of clean power for a fifth straight year. Once fully operational, its UK carbon-free capacity will exceed 1 gigawatt, enough to power over 1.2 million households annually.
