BlackBerry Q10 Launch: Research In Motion BlackBerry Pulling Out All the Stops for this Device

BlackBerry Q10 Launch: Yesterday, we discussed the launch of the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) BlackBerry Q10 in Canada. With the ability to pre-order now available, consumers all over the country are beginning to consider if this is the smartphone they want to spend the foreseeable future with.

Research in Motion Ltd. (BBRY)As we noted, it is being reported that Rogers will begin to make the Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) device available to its customers on April 30, 2013.

Now, it appears that another company, Telus Corp., is getting in on the action.

In a recent report by Bloomberg, it notes that both carriers are taking pre-orders. This is good news for BlackBerry, as the company struggles to regain market share. The more wireless carriers backing the company the easier it will be to increase sales and hopefully find its way back in good standing with the public.

The article goes on to discuss pricing details:

“The phone will be available for C$199.99 ($197) when customers sign up for a three-year contract, Toronto-based Rogers said today in a statement. The carrier didn’t give a release date, beyond saying it would arrive in the “coming weeks.” Telus, based in Vancouver, also didn’t say when the phone would be available.”

Despite the fact that both companies are remaining quiet on when they will release the Q10, it is widely believed that the date is April 30. Of course, this could change at anytime.

Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is hoping that the Q10, along with its previously released Z10, will have what it takes to better compete with the likes of Apple and Samsung.

The Q10, in particular, is exciting because it features a QWERTY keyboard. This is a feature that “old school” Research In Motion enthusiasts have been looking forward to.

If you live in Canada and are interested in pre-ordering the BBRY Q10, you can do so through a variety of outlets. While many will turn to their wireless carrier, Rogers or Telus, others have found that pre-ordering from Best Buy Canada is the best option. Since prices will vary from one outlet to the next, it makes sense to shop around.

For investors, this is good news. Research In Motion Ltd (NASDAQ:BBRY) is doing everything it can to make another run at the smart phone market.
