For our customers, we will continue to deliver the best remote wireless monitoring and tracking solutions available in the markets we serve,” the statement quoted Telular Corporation (NASDAQ:WRLS)’s CEO Joe Beatty.

In deals worth $12.8 million, Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPTS), jumped 19.46% to $30.94. Today Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPTS) posted its first quarter results, which showed a total revenue of $34.1 million (a 17.5% increase over the year). At the same time, the net income totalled to $1.9 million, against a loss of $28 million a year ago. Also today, Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPTS) said in a press release that it has reached a definitive merger agreement with Germany-based Bayer HealtCare LLC. The transaction estimates the value of Conceptus, Inc. (NASDAQ:CPTS) at some $1.1 billion ($31.0 per share in cash).

Galectin Therapeutics Inc. (NASDAQ:GALT) gained 16.39% to $4.83 in deals worth some $205,600. The company posted today some positive news about GR-MD-02 and GM-CT-01 drugs that inhibit galectin proteins. In a press release the company said that these drugs were discovered to reverse the most advanced stage of cirrhosis.

Medidata Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:MDSO) is the fifth-highest gainer, adding 14.30% to $61.79 in turnover worth almost $214,700. Today, Medidata Solutions Inc (NASDAQ:MDSO) posted its financial results for the first quarter of 2013. Total revenues of the company increased by 26% on the year to $63.3 million, the company said in a statement.
