Future Apple iPhone: More Options for Future Apple iPhone Buyers?

Future Apple iPhone: With competition heating up across the smartphone landscape, it appears that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) may be ready to make some changes. Like all the rumors out there, you never know what is going to turn into reality. However, it is being reported by Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets that the next generation smartphone from the Cupertino-based company will be available in multiple screen sizes.

Apple Inc (AAPL)Many feel that this was a long time coming for Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL), being that some of the competition has been doing this for quite some time.

Here is an excerpt from AppleInsider.com, explaining what could come of this:

“The details were reported on Tuesday by Brian White of Topeka Capital Markets, who said the details stem from a meeting with a company in Apple’s supply chain. In fact, White said it’s possible that Apple’s so-called “iPhone 5S” could even launch with three separate screen sizes, in his view.”

While two screen sizes would be interesting enough, if Apple decides to launch its next generation iPhone with three options, it will make for an even more intriguing situation.

Here is what White had to say:

“We believe Apple is coming around to the fact that one size per iPhone release does not work for everyone and offering consumers an option has the potential to expand the company’s market share.”

Like many consumers, he feels that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) needs to branch out as a means of appealing to a larger audience. With more than one screen size, it is safe to say that pricing will change, which will definitely attract a more unique crowd.

Speaking of price, White does not believe that Apple would have the capacity to price one of its new iPhone models below $300, without a contract subsidy. He believes that a price between $300 and $350 is most likely.

Once again, there is no way to say for sure if this information from White is going to become reality sooner rather than later. That being said, Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)  has to realize that other companies, such as Samsung and its Galaxy Note, offer a larger screen. They also have to realize that these companies have gained traction doing so.
