iPad Charger Issue: There is no denying the fact that Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) is one of the most trustworthy companies in the tech industry. Sure, people have their complaints from time to time, but for the most part the Cupertino-based powerhouse takes great pride in providing a high level of service to go along with high-quality Apple-stamped products.

Unfortunately, some people are running into the same issue time and time again. And this has nothing to do with a customer service complaint or not being able to connect to the Internet. Instead, it is more serious than that. These people have found that their Apple Inc. device is a health hazard.

A couple months ago, the author of the page uploaded images of an Apple Inc. iPad charger that exploded while his child was using the product.

There is no excuse for this, no matter who is using the product. That being said, when a child is involved things are going to get much more serious.

With nearly 100 million iPads expected to be sold in 2013, it is safe to say that this is a rare occurrence. In other words, this is not happening to everybody who owns one of these tablets. That being said, one time is more than enough. One time is all that it takes for somebody to be seriously injured.

As you read through the page, you will find that several others chimed in. For example, here is what user SBBabe had to say:

“This just happened to me last night. Very scary. Blew plug away from pins. Did you get it sorted?”

For those who are worried about this happening to them in the future, there is one immediate thing you should do: make sure you are using an Apple Inc. charger directly from the company.

Many people are reporting that the use of a counterfeit charger, for example, can lead to this problem. And as we touched on this morning, counterfeit products are a big problem right now for Apple.

All in all, these isolated incidents are no reason to shun Apple Inc. devices. However, the company should be aware of what is going on and be willing to help those who experience any trouble.
