Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC) and Google Inc. (NASDAQ:GOOG) are a couple of companies that have been advocating innovation and the work of the best and brightest techies, no matter where they live in the world. And with a recent partnership announcement, these two companies are not waiting for immigration rules to allow more well-qualified people to come to the U.S. – these companies are taking their resources and development programs to other continents.
Intel Corporation (NASDAQ:INTC), just after releasing a low-cost handset into the Kenyan market, has partnered with Google Inc. along with iHub Nairobi and AfriLabs – an innovation network in 14 countries – to launch a developer program to encourage African developers to to create for the Android operating system. Training of developers along with granting developers access to software access is being coordinated by Intel and Google.

“Intel [has a] software partnership with iHub and Afrilabs working with tech hubs to give tools that allow user optimization, high-performance computing and enterprise application development, and highly responsive client application development,” said Daniel Steyn of Intel Kenya.
Intel Corporation launched the Yolo handsets to get into the low-cost handset market in Africa, which is led by Nokia Corporation (ADR) (NYSE:NOK), Samsung and Huawei. The new handsets run a low-power Atom Lexington processor and it hs a design that targets telecommunications companies. and manufacturers.
