Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (TEG), FMC Corp (FMC): Market Movers on Monday

On Monday the stocks have been volatile with the S&P 500 INDEX (INDEXCBOE:SPX) edging down by 0.15% to 1,960.11 so far, and oscillating between 1,959.76 and 1,963.74, while The Dow Jones Industrial Average (INDEXDJX:.DJI) is also 0.18% in red. On the commodities side, oil WTI has declined by 0.80% to $106, and the Brent has lost 0.71% to $114. On the other hand, Gold has added 0.06% to $1317.40 and Silver inched down by 0.23% to $20.90.

Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE:TEG)

Among companies from the S&P 500 Index, the top gainer is Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE:TEG), which rose by over 13% so far to $68.89. The news that sparked the interest in the company is the announcement that Wisconsin Energy will acquire Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE:TEG) in a deal worth $9.1 billion in cash and assumed debt. According to a statement from Integrys Energy Group, Inc. (NYSE:TEG), the new company, which will be called WEC Energy Group, Inc., will have a regulated base worth almost $17 billion in 2015 and will serve over 4.3 million gas and electric customers.

Two other stocks, the $5.7 billion PetSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ:PETM) and $15.9 billion Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (NASDAQ:VRTX) both also have been trading with significant gains on Monday. PetSmart, Inc. (NASDAQ:PETM) added over 4.70% to $59.65 and Vertex Pharmaceuticals Incorporated (NASDAQ:VRTX) gained 3.90% to $67.45.

On the losers side, FMC Corp (NYSE:FMC) dropped by almost 4% on Monday, currently trading at $71.86. The company has posted a disappointing announcement that FMC Corp (NYSE:FMC)’s results for the second quarter will be below the previous expectations due to weaker than forecasted performance in FMC Agricultural Solutions. FMC Corp (NYSE:FMC) expects to report EPS in the range between $0.95 to $1.05, while for the full year, the earnings are expected to be between $4.10 and $4.30 per share.

Regeneron Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:REGN) is another top loser on Monday, declining by around 3% to $276.87 so far.
