Insider Trading in Yahoo (NASDAQ:YHOO)

THIRD POINTBillionaire hedge fund manager Dan Loeb upped his stake in Yahoo! (NASDAQ:YHOO). Loeb purchases 1.7 million shares of the media giant on Friday at $15.82 per share. Loeb also paid $15.67 for another 800 thousand shares on Monday. These insider purchases increased Third Point’s holdings to 73 million shares. Dan Loeb’s hedge fund has now more than $1.1 billion invested in Yahoo.

Yahoo is currently trading at $15.43 about 2% less than what Loeb paid. Dan Loeb’s other big positions include Delphi Automotive (NYSE:DLPH), Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL), and Google (NASDAQ:GOOG).
