New Google Features: India Welcomes Google Business Photos Feature

New Google Features: Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG)’s Business Photos feature has been a huge hit in the United States. This gives stores the ability to attract more customers by displaying photos of their business. In other words, customers can walk through and explore a business without ever leaving home. Does it get any better than that?

Google is one of the hedge fund industry’s most popular stock picks, and it’s always important to pay attention to the smart money (see just why here).

Google Inc (GOOG)Now, it appears that the search engine giant has taken this feature to India. Once again, this goes a long way in showing that Google is looking to break into other parts of the world – especially countries with large populations that are beginning to adopt technology more and more with each passing day.

According to ZDNet, “Google has officially launched its Business Photos initiative in India, allowing consumers to see inside a company’s premise without actually stepping inside the location. The program allows local businesses to provide Google users a virtual tour inside the business through interactive 360-degree imagery. This imagery can be viewed on Google Search, Google Maps, and Google+ Local Pages.”

If you want to learn more a bout the Business Photos feature, visit the official webpage right here.

In addition to the United States and India, this program is available in many other countries including: Australia, Canada, France, Ireland, Netherlands, New Zealand, and the United Kingdom.

In the same ZDNet article, Shailesh Nalawadi, Google’s product manager of Geo, is quoted as saying:

“For the businesses, this provides an opportunity to visually present their product and services. For example, before visiting a store to purchase an electronic device, consumers can use business photos to evaluate and view the selections offered by various retailers.”

As you can see, Google Inc (NASDAQ:GOOG) is making a big push with this program. It is safe to say that businesses in India will be able to use this tool to their advantage.
