There weren’t a lot of funds who could deliver these kinds of returns without shorting the market or using aggressive put options.

In the said letter, American Century highlighted a few stocks and Aptiv Plc (NYSE:APTV) is one of them. Aptiv engages in the design, development, and manufacture of vehicle components. Year-to-date, Aptiv Plc (NYSE:APTV) stock lost 23.7% and on May 20th it had a closing price of $71.71. Here is what American Century said:

“Aptiv. Automotive plant closures resulting from self-quarantines and stay-at-home directives weighed on automotive parts and technology firm Aptiv. We continue to believe that Aptiv is well positioned to benefit from durable growth themes such as electrification and autonomous driving.”
