Hedge Fund Filings: After-Market 13D Watch

Hedge fund filings: After the markets’ close today, we saw a rush of 13D filings come into the SEC. Here’s a brief recap of each.

1) Crestview Acquisition Corp reported a majority ownership in Greenway Medical Technologies, Inc. (NYSE:GWAY).

2) James Roumell and Roumell Asset Management, whom we track, owns shares of Transcept Pharmaceuticals Inc (NASDAQ:TSPT). The purpose of today’s filing was to disclose this letter, in which Roumell calls the company’s move to partner with Shin Nippon Biomedical Labs “an astoundingly poor capital allocation decision.”

3) Whitebox Advisors, managed by Andy Redleaf, filed an amended 13D sharing that they own 24.8% of Par Petroleum Corp (OTCMKTS:DPTRQ).

4) Joseph Stilwell, who we’ve covered a lot recently, owns 9.7% of Wayne Savings Bancshares, Inc (NASDAQ:WAYN).

5) Fountainhead Capital Management now owns 65.1% of medical device maker Vycor Medical Inc (OTCMKTS:VYCO).
