Ever wonder what the fastest bikes in the world are?

Naturally, most motorcycles are built for speed, but some of them are considerably faster than others. For all of you “need for speed” daredevils out there, we would like to present you with a list we have compiled of the world’s ten fastest bikes. The bikes in our countdown were ranked according to their top speed, which is displayed both in miles per hour (mph) and kilometers per hour (km/h).

We’ve also included some data on engines and horsepower, complete with a price tag for each of the bikes in our top ten, in a style similar to our list of the fastest cars in the world.

The undisputable leader is the Dodge Tomahawk, which can reach an impressive top speed of 350 mph. However, this unmatched speed does come with a hefty price tag of over half a million dollars. This four-wheeled super bike comes with an impressive 500 horsepower, more than double that of the runner-up, the Suzuki Hayabusa.

On the other end of the spectrum, we have the Ducati 1098S, with a “humble” top speed of only 169 mph. The price tag on this beauty might be ten times less than that of the first contender on the list ($44,000), but it is still a lot more than the average citizen would be able to afford.

Apart from the Dodge, Ducati, and Suzuki bikes, spotlights also include motorcycles from Kawasaki, BMW, and Yamaha. Curious to see others? Let’s take a look at the fastest bikes in the world:
