From the stand point of an audience it’s hard to see that anything about Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB)’s CEO is crazy. May be the fact that he refuses to do away with his hoodie can be a little unsettling for some, but that is not what Rottenberg is talking about. On the other hand, Elon Musk, Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) might be borderline crazy. After all he does plan to colonize Mars in twenty years or so.

Rottenberg seems to know beyond the personalities that these CEO’s project on the media.

” I  wrote about a thousand entrepreneurs. Everyone was called nuts. Henry Ford was called crazy. Jack Ma, who just took Alibaba public was known as crazy Jack […],” said Rottenberg.

It is understandable why the people in charge of companies like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) will not show their crazy side to the public. It will make them hard to be trusted with shareholder’s money.

Furthermore, Rottenberg also pointed out that each and everyone of us has the ability to start a venture like Facebook Inc (NASDAQ:FB) and Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) and even steer the ship of these giant concerns. It doesn’t mean that we have to follow the personalities of the people already doing this job. Instead, we have to know our inner selves better.

“[…] I actually published an article on the wall street Journal that allows people to find their own entrepreneurship personality. We often try to model ourselves on one hero. In fact I have worked with Bain and Company to develop an entrepreneur personality test because we all have strength and weaknesses, we all have the ability to be entrepreneurs. We just have to know ourselves […],” explained Rottenberg.
