Eric Sprott Decreased His Position In Wi-Lan And Pacific North West Capital Corp

Eric Sprott recently disclosed that he has sold some of his passive stakes in two Canada-traded stocks, Wi-LAN Inc. (WIN.TO) and Pacific North West Capital Corp (PFN.TO).

Sprott now has 5.94 million shares of Wi-Lan in his portfolio, corresponding to a 4.8% passive stake. This is a 23% decrease in Sprott’s position since he reported 7.67 million shares of Wi-Lan at the end of the third quarter. Sprott previously filed 8.94 million or 7.2% stake in Wi-Lan in an initial ownership filing on November 11th, 2011. Now Wi-Lan is trading at $5.5.

Sprott also decreased his stake in Pacific North West Capital Corp. He initially reported a slightly more than 4 million shares position on April 8, 2011, which gave him 5.1% passive stake of the company. Now Sprott remains 3.7 million shares or 3.5% stake in the stock. It seems Sprott paid a higher-than-current price to build the position in the first half of 2011. Now Pacific North West Capital Corp is hovering around $0.15 per share.
