No. 5: The bigger tablet

Samsung already unveiled some of its new tablet models at the 2014 CES in January, but experts suggest a new product might be coming our way sometime in the near future. In particular, all bets are on a professional tablet with a wider screen, possibly a 13.3 inch. Experts also claim that the tablet will feature support for both Android and Windows.

No. 4: Galaxy Gear Smartwatches

Reports suggest that Samsung will release its Gear 2 smartwatch sometime in 2014 and possibly, even more than one just model. Techno Buffalo suggest that one of these models might be an innovation, in that it will use the Tizen operating system, as opposed to the classic Android Samsung has gotten us accustomed to. Other sources claim that the new smartwatch will have an entirely different design and will be significantly thinner than its predecessor.

No. 3: Flexible display technology

This is not exactly a big surprise, as Samsung has already reported it will start delivering wraparound screen devices by the year 2015, but we might get to see more of this in 2014 as well. The Galaxy Round, a smartphone with a slightly curved screen has already hit Asian markets, so other products might soon follow.

No. 2: So long plastic cases

Until now, all of Samsung’s flagship smartphones were encased in polycarbonate, but rumor has it that this might all change in 2014. Various reports have claimed that the tech giant will switch to either metal casing, such as that of HTC One, or diamond-like coating, which are both more durable and resistant to damage.

No. 1: Samsung Galaxy S5

This is more than just an educated guess, as there are reports Samsung started working on its next flagship model ever since it released the S4. While the company has done a good job at keeping thing secrets, some sources have stated that the new phone will come with a re-designed case. Phonearena also indicates that the device will feature a  5.3 inch screen with a 2560 x 1440 resolution.
