David Einhorn Made More in Poker Than Investing

GREENLIGHT CAPITALDavid Einhorn made $3.35 million in 3 days by finishing third at the WSOP event. At this rate his annual rate is around $400 million. As a hedge fund manager it took him 16 years to become a billionaire. The tournaments winner, Antonio Esfandiari, made 5 times more than Einhorn did. Einhorn was eliminated by Esfandiari. Here is what WSOP said about Einhorn:

David Einhorn, the hedge-fund investor and financial mogul from Westchester County, N Y had been on a similar stage before, finishing 18th place in the 2006 Main Event Championship, which was the biggest poker tournament of all time.  At the time, Einhorn donated all of his $600,000 in winnings to the Micheal J. Fox Foundation.  Incredibly, he did the same thing again, forking over his entire prize totaling $4,352,000 to City Year, a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to keep kids in school and on track to graduate high school.
