Bulldog Investors Trims Its Firsthand Technology Exposure

Bulldog Investors recently disclosed that it was cutting its stake in Firsthand Technology Value Fund Inc (NASDAQ:SVVC). Bulldog owns 726,400 shares, worth $17.9 million at the current price of the stock. The position has been reduced, from the previously held 833,900 shares, and currently represents 8.49% of the company.

Firsthand Technology Value FundFirsthand Technology Value Fund, which is a venture capital fund, recently disclosed its top holdings. As follows, the fund, which trades publicly on the market, holds its major stake in Facebook, which involves 600,000 shares. It is followed by 194,000 shares of Twitter, and AliphCom, in which the fund holds 1.9 million shares. Firsthand Technology Value Fund has net assets of over $212 million, while the value of its equity portfolio amounts to $85.6 million.

Aside from Bulldog Investors, another hedge fund with a big stake in the Firsthand Technology Value Fund is Nantahala Capital Management, managed by Wilmot B. Harkey and Daniel Mack, which owns 121,100 shares. It is followed by Stanley Shopkorn and Douglas Day’s Hilltop Park Associates, which at the end of last quarter held 44,000 shares.
