Apple Earnings Report: When talking about Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) and its upcoming earnings report, one Apple analyst said to expect the worst.

On the other side of things, another analyst thought it was about time to upgrade Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) to buy from hold.

As you can see, opinions regarding the Cupertino-based company and what is going to happen next are all over the board.

By tomorrow evening, we will at least have a better idea of where Apple stands. Of course, its second quarter earnings report is not going to solve all of the company’s problems. On the same token, it won’t be the end of the world if things get worse.

CNBC recently posted a video talking about where Apple currently stands in the minds of investors.

John Abell, Reuters tech columnist, dives into the finer details of this discussion on the eve of a big day for the company:

“The cool metric is very, very tough. If you are cool, you can’t say you are cool or you are not cool anymore. If you are cool, you have got to keep doing what you are doing, and then also mix things up. It is a very, very difficult place to be. I don’t envy Apple, but fundamentally I don’t think there is any problem over there.”

Apple Inc (AAPL)Is it cool now to diss Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)?

This is the question that the host posed to Abell, bringing up the point that it may be cooler now to go against Apple than to be on the company’s side.

“Look, when they hit their biggest company in the history of the world mark, there was really no place to go except extremely high, quickly, because people were putting $1,100 price targets on it or fall from grace. A fall from grace was more likely but again it’s a perception problem.”

There is no right or wrong answer to the question of whether or not Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) has lost its cool. Some people feel that the company has fallen off as of late because it has not released a new product. Could this be solved by finally pushing out an iWatch or Apple TV? Maybe, maybe not. However, this may be what consumers, as well as investors, are looking for.
