Frozen Bovine Meat Exports in 2021: $2.4 billion

New Zealand is an island country in the Pacific Ocean. Agriculture is the backbone of the New Zealand economy, and when it comes to beef, more than half of the amount produced is exported. Almost all of the country’s beef is grass fed, which lends it lower fat and other benefits. Some of the top beef producing companies in New Zealand are Marx Foods, Broadleaf, Lumina, and Atkins Ranch. Frozen beef formed the bulk of its beef exports in 2021, as fresh beef was worth $375 million. The U.S. was the largest frozen beef importer, with 23.3% of the exports headed to America.
