Topping the list of the 11 biggest companies with Indian CEOs is Google, whose CEO is Sunder Pichai. Undoubtedly, Google is one of the biggest companies in the world with revenues exceeding $162 billion and the fact that the Internet giant has an Indian CEO is a major boost for millions of Indians.

Sunder Pichai was born in Chennai India, where he earned his degree from the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur. He then moved to the United States where he completed his MS from the extremely prestigious Stanford University as well as an MBA from the even more prestigious Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, before finally joining Google in 2004. After joining Google, Pichai led the innovation efforts for several of Google’s main products including Chrome OS and Google Chrome, in addition to the really popular Google Drive. Later on, he was responsible for overseeing the development of Gmail and Google Maps, two of Google’s most important products. Hence, it wasn’t extremely surprising when Pichae was then made the CEO of Google in 2015, after previously being appointed as the Product Chief by the founder of Google Larry Page. He has held on to the position since and is counted among the most influential people in the world. The funny thing is, Sunder Pichai has stated on occasion that he never even asked for a promotion as the CEO of Google; he was offered the position instead.
