Following worries over hepatic safety, RBC Capital reaffirmed its Outperform rating and $1,250 price target for Eli Lilly & Company (NYSE:LLY) on May 4. The FDA’s claim of a major hepatic failure case linked to Eli Lilly’s Foundayo was found to be unrelated to the drug following an in-house investigation.

The firm reported that one liver instance occurred in about 3,500 commercial patients, which is consistent with clinical trial results. RBC Capital stated that it will continue to monitor whether this case is part of an ongoing pattern or a one-time occurrence.

Also on the same day, in response to the company’s first-quarter 2026 results, Barclays increased its price objective for Eli Lilly & Company (NYSE:LLY) from $1,350 to $1,400 while keeping an Overweight rating on the company’s shares.
