4. Juarez Cartel

The Juárez Cartel also known as the Vicente Carrillo Fuentes cartel, is a Mexican drug cartel headquartered in Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua, situated across the Mexico-U.S. border from El Paso, Texas. This cartel is among several drug trafficking entities notorious for their gruesome acts, such as decapitating rivals, mutilating their remains, and leaving them in public places. These acts are intended to instill fear not only in the general public but also in local law enforcement and their adversaries, such as the Sinaloa Cartel. Its current recognized leader is Juan Pablo Ledezma. The Juárez Cartel possesses an armed division known as La Línea, which is primarily responsible for carrying out executions and is presently the most influential and leading faction within the cartel. Additionally, it collaborates with the Barrio Azteca gang to target its adversaries. The Juárez Cartel once held a dominant position in the central region of the country, overseeing a significant share of the cocaine trafficking operations from Mexico into the United States.
