Hawaii’s capital is full of tourists, and they seem to be making a wise decision as even though it’s a beautiful place, shelling out $3,800 for a 4 bedroom apartment just doesn’t strike me as worth it.

New York may generally rank lower on most lists, but that’s because it’s real estate is unlike any other in the country. Big homes with multiple bedrooms don’t exist in most of New York City, especially its most exclusive district in Manhattan and that’s why it tends to fall lower in such studies. However, rest assured it is still by far one of the most expensive cities in the country to rent a home in.

Topping the list of the 10 most expensive cities in the US to rent a house in is San Francisco, home to Silicon Valley and with soaring property prices. Just a two bedroom apartment will cost you $3,340 and we don’t even want to mention the price of a four bedroom apartment (hint: it’s above $4,600).
